Terms of Use
Last updated: June 2026
Licence
When you purchase Reverie, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software on any devices you own. One purchase covers all your machines. There is no subscription. A licence may be withdrawn if it is refunded, or if it appears to be in use across an unusual number of devices.
Your files
Your documents belong to you. Reverie saves plain Markdown files to locations you choose on your own filesystem. The app has no access to your files beyond what you explicitly open or save. If you stop using Reverie, your files remain exactly where they are, in a format any text editor can read.
No warranty
Reverie is provided as-is. While every effort is made to ensure the software works correctly, no guarantee is made that it will be free of bugs or suitable for any particular purpose. Back up your work as you would with any software.
Refunds
Reverie offers a fourteen-day refund from the date of purchase, no questions asked. Contact support to request a refund. A refund ends your licence, and with it your right to use Reverie.
Availability
Reasonable effort is made to maintain and update the software, but no commitment is made to a specific update schedule, feature roadmap, or indefinite availability.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated on the website. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance.
Third-party software
Reverie includes the following open-source typefaces, bundled under the SIL Open Font License 1.1:
- Literata © 2017 The Literata Project Authors
- Source Code Pro © 2023 Adobe, with Reserved Font Name “Source”
The fonts are embedded in the application and are not sold separately. Full licence text is available at the link above or in the licence files distributed with the software.
